Floral Friday's.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I've been cutting up all the gorgeous blooms around my garden again. I can't help it, they are just to pretty not to place in a glass or vase. This time I went with dark reds, pastel pink, hot pink, maroon, and orange. Normally I keep it light, but I was in the mood for some pop on the back porch.

Lately I have been loving the random, crazy flower in a vase look. If you take a look at my floral arrangement  Pinterest board you will see what I am talking about. Now I am no expert like these girls, but I still like to play. It calms me and inspires me. You should give it a try if you haven't in a while. Plus I am beginning to realize I like sharing my floral arrangements with you guys, and so I am going to try and make sure I share every Friday. Whether it be my arrangement or someone else's that has made my day.

We cleaned the backporch off a little over the weekend. We still have to power wash the concrete and hopefully paint it soon. You know me though I still hung art, and put my arrangements out to enjoy.

This little guy was on break from getting a haircut and would not move. He's a mommy's boy for sure. My little Louis.

Wednesday Wishes.

What's up friends? Not much over here just trying to nail down some faucet decisions. So I thought I would share what I have been looking at when it comes to kitchen faucets. There is a big trend in polished and vintage brass hardware in the design world. I love how everything old is now new. With that said we choose a vintage brass for our kitchen remodel and I think that I need to add just a little more to carry the look out.
Here's some options I like that are reasonably priced.

Okay so here is where I am held up. I choose  the vintage brass handle from RH below. And I am totally in love with the deco look it has. Donald would not go for the polished brass look (sad face), so we came to an agreement on this handle.

In person the detail is where it's darker and the higher ridges are show more brass. I like that because I can play with the color brass I pick for the faucet. Or at least I thought I could. I like faucets #2 and #5 above, however I wish both had just a touch more of the color from faucet #1. What to do, what to do?
I am so darn hung up on this decision it's working a nerve. Please throw any ideas out that you may have. Mmmkay.

Delicious Burger On Naan Bread.

Good Morning dear friends. Man have I got a delish recipe for you today. Plus it's like so easy to throw together.

If your anything like myself, then you are tired of the ordinary burger on a bun. I am constantly throwing in new toppings and trying to switch things up. This was inspired by a picture on Pinterest that didn't come with a recipe. Whaaaa no recipe??? That's cray, cray I spent the next 4 months wanting to eat that darn picture. #PlushGirlProblems

So I came up with my own recipe and here it goes.
Ingredients List:
1lb.        Lean Ground Beef
1tbsp.    Salt
1tsp.      Black Pepper
1tsp.      Curry
1cup      Greek Yogurt
1/2cup   Goat Cheese (Blue or Gorgonzola will also work)
2tbsp     Chopped Mint
1tbsp.    Fresh Squeezed Lemon
              Naan Bread

Toppings List:
1jar        Arriba Mango Agave Salsa
              Alfafa Sprouts
              Cheddar
              Spring Lettuce or Frisee

To ground beef add salt, pepper, and curry. Form patties and cook in a skillet pan. In a separate small bowl mix greek yogurt, goat cheese, mint, and lemon. Set yogurt mixture aside. Warm naan bread for about a minute, just to warm the bread.
Then assemble from bottom to top. Open naan bread, spread a tablespoon of yogurt mix, burger, cheddar cheese, mango salsa, and then sprouts and lettuce. Close the sandwich and devour.
