Not yet, but I see it happening soon. It's been ugly weather here for about a week. Of course I was ready to get out of the house on this lovely Saturday. What I should have been doing is working on some of my projects. A good old shopping trip is what we needed though. So Donnie and I got up bright and early and hit the road. We only made it to two stops, but that was enough. We were only successful at one. A gorgeous Ironstone soup tureen. I love strolling through others houses. It's nice to see others collections and how they lived. The second stop had wonderful goods. From old portraits, great jugs, wonderful furniture pieces and the list goes on. What he didn't have was reasonable prices. He was outrageous and not willing to negotiate with anyone in the store at all.
For me when I go to sales I'm always looking for great dishes and small furniture pieces. I was pretty sad that Donnie was so against an old chair (late 1800s) I wanted for Holden's room. My friends what's on your list when you go picking???
BTW ~ This was a wonderful estate sale. All the furniture was beautiful. I'm sure I could have begged and smiled more, but I saw this same set of Red Cliff Ironstone on Ebay and it was for a lot more than the $50 I paid.
