Folding In My New Laundry Room.

OOPS I SENT THIS EARLIER W/OUT PICS.
Greetings all my lovely friends. I have been so busy. Chasing Holden and trying to enjoy this summer. I have been very relaxed on blogging for a couple weeks. I missed commenting on everyones post so much. However it allowed me to get two projects completed and a room reveal. It also allowed me to work on the backyard flower beds a little.

I love my DIY projects, but I want to be able to bring you completed spaces also. I know I love a completed room no matter how big or small the room happens to be. We started tackling our laundry room and it's finally complete. This all began when I was reading through sugarpiefarmhouse blog and found her recipe for laundry soap. I can now fold clothes and fell as though I am in a pretty space. I live in a house full of guys, so I decided I needed a pretty laundry room with a girly splash of color. I can't commit to a daring color on my walls, but I can commit to painting my laundry room door in CORAL. We already had our washer/dryer. Originally we were gonna buy cabinets to replace the wire shelf, but decided to wait until we do our kitchen b/c then we will have extra cabinets to repurpose. Therefore I had to come up with a clever way to hide my mess soaps. I already have pleanty of curtain rods and hardware. So I just needed to purchase a cute shower curtain. Then I decided that I still didn't like the wire shelf. So I took a old IKEA LACK shelf cut it down to size and painted it white. For extra support I brought two $5 corbels from Home Depot. I then painted those corbels in ASCP Olive w/ a little dark wax for aging. The wooden clothes pins are old and I got them from Pottery Barn about 7 years ago. I wanted art to cover our Cat-5 box, but wasn't sure what I wanted. So I made this little laundry sign with canvas and art supplies from Micheal's. This was a fun project for me. I spend a lot of time doing laundry and I needed a lovely area to do it in. I'm enjoying my little space and tiny it is, but pretty, pretty.

ENJOY

Before

BTW~ I brought two $2.94 Behr Coral paint samples, $24.99 shower curtain, I spent $10 on art, and $10 for the corbels. So this was definitely a budget project.

I totally get you on needing a pretty space to fold laundry. I still love going into my laundry room, despite the work I have to do when I'm in there!

It looks great! You did a good job on the stripes! It looks girly, but I think your guys shouldn't mind being in the laundry room--unless you are making them work and do laundry :) Thank you for linking this up to Rustic Restorations Weekend!

I love it! I enjoy seeing laundry rooms - maybe since I have my washer & dryer in the garage and can't make it as pretty as I'd like! I love that you did it on a budget, too.
