Hey everybody. How are y'all doing today? I have been so busy lately. Working on this chair. Holden doesn't sleep as much as he used too. So my free time is so limited and what should have been a one week project took two weeks. I brought these chairs months ago. They have been sitting in my garage airing out. Plus I just needed some time to figure out where my space was going. I now have a sense of what I want in this open room. We are going with a mostly white, grey, brown and black color scheme. I've been buying pillows and making some of my own and I can't wait to show you my old sofa all dressed up. However today it's all about my Bergere chair. I love these chairs. Mine happens to be pretty over sized. My husband was very critical of their size when we first saw them, but I had to explain that they were no bigger than the chair in a half he wanted. So he gave in and now he loves my chair and has claimed it as his own. Imagine that.....
I ripped all the old fabric off. I'm scarred of germs so I shampooed the entire chair. LOL I have issues. I repainted the cherry wood. Using CoCo chalk paint, Paris Grey, and Pure White ASCP. It was fun and I love the finish product. The outside is covered in drop cloth and the floral print is from Fabric.com.
We are going to be redoing our fireplace soon and painting. I will be posting those pics soon. And we still have a little work on the cabinets that Donald installed. Like some knobs. Finally I am like the way our shelves are looking. I still need to find art for that one frame, but until I do it's staying empty. We choose to use the frames we had brought at Ikea 2 years ago and display some family photos.
As always friends. Thanks for visiting with us today.

Oh WOW! I can't believe you upholstered it all by yourself! You did an awesome job, I love the two tones, it looks like a chair bought at a high end store! Beautiful!
Hi, Looks like you could sink right down in that chair and "blog surf" all night :)Connie
Great job. I am not as ambitious. I have one that is burgundy leather from 20 years ago, and I just made it a slipcover!

AMAZING job! LOVE the fabric!
I love the colors of the chair. They're classic colors yet add a jolt of color. I can't wait to see your fireplace. And I know what you mean about taking time to figure out where a space is going. I do that alot.Sstop and wait until I 'feel' that certain inspired direction.
